BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CANADIAN CAMPING AND RV ASSOCIATION GATHER IN OTTAWA, ON APRIL 15-17, 2024

Burlington, Ontario – April 5, 2024

The Canadian Camping and RV Association (CCRVA) is set to convene its much-anticipated board meeting from April 15th to 17th, 2024, at the Delta Hotel City Centre in Ottawa, ON. This pivotal gathering will bring together industry leaders, stakeholders, and enthusiasts to chart the course for the future of camping and RVing across Canada.

Representatives from each province will provide updates on the current state of affairs within their respective regions, shedding light on the triumphs, challenges, and emerging trends shaping the industry landscape. These insights will enable the board to gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs and dynamics influencing camping and RVing experiences nationwide.

One of the focal points of the meeting will be a thorough review of the financial standing of the association. Examining revenue streams, expenditure patterns, and investment opportunities will be crucial in ensuring the sustained growth and stability of the association as it continues to serve the interests of its members.

In addition to financial matters, the board will engage in substantive discussions regarding several new partner program opportunities aimed at enhancing the camping and RVing experience for campers, while simultaneously supporting the associations success. Collaborating with strategic partners will enable the association to broaden its reach, offer innovative services, and provide greater value to its members and the camping community at large.

Setting the strategic direction for the upcoming fiscal year will be another key agenda item. By aligning on overarching goals, priorities, and action plans, the board will lay the groundwork for driving positive outcomes and advancing the interests of the camping and RVing industry. This strategic planning process will encompass initiatives related to advocacy, education, sustainability, and industry growth.

On April 17th, RV Hill Day will take center stage as CCRVA and RVDA of Canada jointly host “RV’s on Sparks Street,” an event intended to showcase the camping and RV industry in Canada to Members of Parliament. The advocacy team will also meet with several MPs throughout the day one-on-one, presenting the policy position messaging crafted by the association based on feedback from members over the past several years.

As the premier national organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the interests of the camping and RVing community, the Canadian Camping and RV Association remains committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the industry. The upcoming board meeting in Ottawa represents a pivotal moment for stakeholders to come together, exchange ideas, and chart a course for a vibrant and sustainable future for camping and RVing in Canada.

CANADIAN CAMPING AND RV COUNCIL HOLDS BOARD MEETING IN TORONTO, ON NOVEMBER 2022.

Burlington, Ontario – November 26, 2022 – The Canadian Camping and RV Council (“CCRVC”) and Go RVing Canada held joint Board Meetings November 21st-23rd, 2022 at The Sheraton in Toronto, ON. The meetings enabled the respective Boards to strategize together, and learn more about each Canadian RV and Camping Industry stakeholder while sharing ideas for the future that will truly benefit Private Campgrounds across Canada.

Go RVing Canada’s Board is comprised of Chairman Chris Faulkner from General Coach Canada, President Chris Mahony, and Directors representing RVDA of Canada and the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association. The Canadian Camping and RV Council’s Board consists of Chairman Robert Trask of Chesley Lake Camp, Executive Director Shane Devenish,  Directors from RVDA of Canada, and Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association and Directors from the Provincial Campground Owners Associations across Canada.

During Go RVing Canada’s Board Meetings, Chris Mahony and the rest of the team featured the next instalment in the #BringBackWildhood advertising theme for 2023 which has seen several advertising awards for Go RVing Canada. 

Go RVing Canada shared their extensive 2023 Media and Digital Platform with the CCRVC’s Board of Directors. Go RVing’s Digital Media will drive conversion to the following KPIs (objectives) on www.gorving.ca :

Go RVing Canada’s PR Agency reported that total media PR for 2022 YTD has resulted in millions of impressions!
