Over fifty years ago, Bert and Gertie Hawkes, purchased the property with the dream of building a world-class campground. At that time, the property was a collection of marsh land and bare pasture land. They dammed the marshes, planted all the trees, landscaped the property and made their dream come to life.
Over the years Ponderosa Pines has evolved to be one of the most sought-after campgrounds in the region. With the addition of a beautiful swimming pool, many free-standing buildings, hot showers, laundry services and more, the campground offers many modern amenities to help you relax and take full advantage of your surroundings.
We pride ourselves on offering clean accommodations with minimal disruption to our natural surroundings.
